2010 Provincial Results

June 4th-6th - Mixed Pairs held at Regina Lawn Bowling Club

The team of Doug Propp and Lorie Young from the Saskatoon Mayfair Club defeated Garth Zummack and Merle Ackerman of the Regina Club 19-10 in the second game of the A/B final to win the provincial championship. Propp and Young went through the championship with only one loss. The third place team was Cecilia Gillespie and David Calam of the Regina Club.

Propp and Young will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship in White Rock, B.C. September 7th-14th. 2010.

June 11th-13th - Fours held at Regina Lawn Bowling Club

Rachel Larson of the Nutana Lawn Bowling Club won the Women's Singles gold medal while Harriet Pituley of the Regina Lawn Bowling Club took the silver medal. Regina's Jean Roney came away with the bronze medal.

Rachel will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship in Edmonton, August 14-22, 2010.

Regina's Keith Roney and David Calam teamed up with Mayfair's Doug Propp and Moose Jaw's Ernie Meid to capture the Men's Fours' gold medals. Regina's Jon, Michael, and Murray Pituley teamed with Nutana's Alex Scott to win silver medals. Regina's Mark Sutyla, Mayfair's Gary Laurence, Nutana's Grant Wikie and Nutana's Jack Wigham earned the bronze medals.

Keith, David, Doug and Ernie will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship in Edmonton, August 14-22, 2010.

June 18th-20th - Women's Fours held at Nutana Lawn Bowling Club, Men's Singles held at Mayfair Lawn Bowling Club

Regina's Harriette Pituley and Jean Temple teamed up with Mayfair's Clem Grant and Mayfair's Irma Bricker to capture the Women's Fours' gold medals. Regina's Jean Roney and Nutana's Fran Scott, Barb Manion, and Freda Toffolo took the silver medals. The bronze medals went to Mayfair's Joan Sande, Nutana's Felicity Hogg, and Regina's Merle Ackerman and Marg Kushnier.

Harriette, Jean, Clem, and Irma will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship in Edmonton, August 14-22, 2010.

Nutana's Alex Scott won the Men's Singles gold medal as Mayfair's Glen Mowery settled for the silver. Regina's Michael Pituley took home the bronze medal.

June 25th-27th - Women's and Men's Pairs held at Regina Lawn Bowling Club

Cecilia Gillespie and Sylvia Muz took home the gold medals in the Women's Pairs after beating Merle Ackerman and Felicity Hogg 16-12 in the second game of the A/B final. The bronze medals went to Mayfair's Joan Sande and Lorriane Layton.

Cecilia and Sylvia will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship in Edmonton, August 14-22, 2010.

Herb Hunter and Grant Wilkie took home the gold medals in the Men's Pairs after beating Jon and Murray Pituley 20-18 in the second game of the A/B final. The bronze medals went to Mayfair's Glen Mowery and Nutana's Jack Wigham.

Herb and Grant will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Championship in Edmonton, August 14-22, 2010.

July 2nd-4th - Junior Singles held at Regina Lawn Bowling Club

Saskatoon's xxxxx won the gold medal in the Junior Women's Singles over the weekend. The silver medal went to Regina's Jordan Kos.

Nutana's Grant Wilkie edged Regina's Michael Pituley 21-20 in the second game of the A/B final to capture the gold medal over the weekend. Pituley settled for the silver medal in what was one of the best matches of 2010 thus far. Jordan Gailey took home the bronze medal.

Saskatoon's xxxxx and Grant will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Junior Nationals in London, Ontario from August 4th-7th, 2010.

July 12th-14th - Senior Triples held at Nutana Lawn Bowling Club

Jean Roney, Clem Grant, and Irma Bricker won the Senior Women's Triples gold medals after beating the threesome of Cecilia Gillespie, Merle Ackerman, and Sylvia Muz 22-2 in the second game of the A/B final. The bronze medals went to Marion Piller, Barb Mannion, and Freda Toffolo.

Jean, Clem, and Irma will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Senior Triples in Halifax, Nova Scotia, August 26th-September 1st, 2010.

Keith Roney, David Calam, and Ralph Van Iderstine took home the gold medals in the Senior Men's Triples after beating Garth Zummack, Gerald Bocking, and Ron Sayers 21-5 in the second game of the A/B final. The bronze medals went to Glen Mowery, Jack Wigham, and Eli Tarasoff.

Keith, David, and Ralph will represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Senior Triples in Halifax, Nova Scotia, August 26th-September 1st, 2010.

Sept 17th-19th - Indoor Singles Qualifer held at Saskatoon Indoor Bowls Club

Jean Roney of the Regina LBC won the gold medal for the women and Clem Grant of the Saskatoon Mayfair club won silver. Keith Roney of the Regina Lawn Bowling Club won gold and Doug Propp won the silver medal in a hard fought match for the men. The Gold medal winners will travel to Vancouver to represent Saskatchewan in the National Indoor Championships from November 5th-8th, 2010.
